Gardaí in Roscommon are investigating the theft of thousands of euro worth of power tools from two different locations in the countyOn September 11th between 4 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. a silver Landcruiser jeep was broken into at Main Street, Athleague. A passenger window and lock were smashed and various power tools to the value of €2,450 were taken from rear of the jeep. Gardaí in Roscommon are endeavouring to establish if the occupants of a blue Saab were involved in this incident. Also on September 11th at approximately 7.35 p.m. power tools with a value in excess of €1,200 were stolen from an unattended locked Renault Master van at Circular Road, Roscommon. Sergeant Bartley added: “Consider using a lockable cabinet within your van to store tools – a number of security rated products are available.
